Marine rubber fender installation is usually done manually. Before installing the marine rubber fender, hang the construction ladder or hanging basket at the front of the dock so that the workers can install and tighten the nuts in the hanging basket.
The relevant size line of the positioning plate should be put in place. When drilling orifices for fenders, the construction personnel should first fix the processed positioning plate according to the relevant size using expansion bolts.
Electric core drill, air compressor, adhesive dispenser, special round brush, grease knife and other necessary protective equipment, such as gloves, masks, etc., are necessary for drilling and reinforcement. The constructor selects the drill pipe with corresponding parameters and specifications according to the project requirements. The length of the drill pipe should meet the design depth requirement of the drill orifice. The construction personnel should avoid reinforcing steel parts in the substrate, mark out the drilling position, and ensure that the drilling position is correct. The spacing of orifices should be in accordance with the regulations and design requirements, and the orifices should be dry otherwise it is necessary to manually carry out drying treatment to ensure that the protection of gangway bolts and the concrete bonding surface is absolutely dry before curing.
After the orifice is formed, the dust in the orifice must be removed by an air compressor or a special circular brush to avoid the isolation of dust and affect the bonding surface. You can use the air compressor to trumpet several times, and then use the brush to clean the orifice until there is no dust.
Use a brush dipped in acetone to clean the perimeter wall of the concrete aperture to ensure that the substrate orifice wall and structural adhesive good bonding, to be volatile acetone, in a timely manner in the aperture mouth to avoid contamination of the paper plugs, to be used.
Apply accurate measuring instruments to match the adhesive, such as balance and scale (less than 5kg). Weigh the adhesive first, then the curing agent. Bicomponent resin adhesive weighing and mixing should be stirred vigorously and evenly. The amount of adhesive dispensed at one time should not be too much, because the deterioration of adhesive glue will affect the bonding quality of the construction. Generally a preparation of structural adhesive should be used up within 30 ~ 40 min.
The method of adhesive injection will change depending on the application form (tube-filled, mechanically injected, or field formulated as described above) and direction (upward, downward, or horizontal) of the anchoring adhesive. The orifice can be filled and injected with adhesive fillers or other methods. Be sure to fill the orifice and eliminate air so that the anchoring adhesive accounts for more than 80% of the orifice volume.
After the structural adhesive is injected, the screw should be immediately implanted. And the screw should be properly rotated to eliminate the air between the adhesive and the screw, and the adhesive should be uniformly combined. Clean up the excess structural adhesive at the porthole. Before the anchoring parts solidify, temporary supports should be set up for longer screws to prevent screw displacement. Completed screws shall be static cured and maintained, and no disturbance shall be permitted during the curing period.
Refer to the reinforcement adhesive curing schedule for installation. After the recommended curing time is reached, the bolt installation can be tightened.
Note: For wet substrates, the loading and curing time should be extended accordingly (usually twice as long as that of dry substrates).
